SOILTECH professionals engaged in the geotechnical investigation using dry drilling landslide remediation and monitoring site in Galaboda, Rathnapura, Sri Lanka for Disaster Management Capacity Enhancement project adaptable to climate change(DiMCE), handled by Oriental Consultant Co. Ltd, on behalf of JICA. This is tree year Japanese Technical Corporation Project with Department of Irrigation (DOI), Department of Meteorology (DOM), National Building and Research Organization (NBRO) and Disaster Management Center (DMC). The total depth of the drilled hole is 40meters.
SOILTECH organized a tree planting program at the ancient “Sri Sudarmarama Temple“ premises in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka as an event for the 2013 new year celebration. Various plant varieties were planted in the temple premises.
SOILTECH successfully installed Vibrating Wire (VW) Piezometer in the gallery of the Bowatenna dam at Naula, Sri Lanka. Five number of VW piezometer were installed to indicate the pore water pressure of the dam for the safety of the dam. SOILTECH is the first Sri Lankan geotechnical engineering company who involved with the installation of the VW piezometer in Sri Lanka. All the drillings and the installations were carried out by the skilled people of the company with minimum impact to the existing environment using advanced technology. The main client of the project is Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka and the remedial works were carried out by the Squire Mech (Pvt) Ltd.
SOILTECH launches newly made portable jack up barge for the offshore drillings for proposed Thermal Power Project at Sampoor - Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. The main client of the project is Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the project carrying out by the Indian National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
The drilling capacity(Depth) of the portable Jackup barge is 25 meters.
